Planted in Prayer, Built by Vision
Founding Year and Early Beginning
Deliverance Church Kitengela was officially founded in 2003, spearheaded by Bishop Mohammed Kamwaro and Bishop Grace Kamwaro. The church began with a small group of believers meeting in a modest, rented hall. The early days were marked by simplicity, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to prayer and evangelism. Bishop Kamwaro often led services with minimal resources—sometimes without microphones or instruments—but with a powerful spiritual presence that drew people in.
Members recall worshipping under scorching sun and heavy rains, yet their faith never wavered. These humble beginnings laid the foundation for a culture of resilience and deep spiritual hunger.
Laying the Spiritual Foundation
Bishop Kamwaro is a visionary leader, deeply pastoral and prophetic. During the early stages he was known for:
• Personal mentorship: He invested in young leaders, often inviting them into his home for Bible study and discipleship.
• Community outreach: He led initiatives to feed the hungry, support widows, and counsel families.
• Media innovation: Bishop Kamwaro was instrumental in launching DOXA TV, the church’s media arm, which now broadcasts sermons, teachings, and documentaries across Kenya and beyond.
His preaching style was described as “fiery yet compassionate,” blending deep theological insight with practical wisdom. Members recall how he would walk through Kitengela town praying over businesses and homes, believing in territorial transformation.
